With the NFL preseason kicking off this week, bettors are already diving into the upcoming season’s awards.
One betting market in particular seeing some action is Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Much to no one’s surprise, Caleb Williams, who was drafted first by the Chicago Bears, is the clear-cut current favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors next season.
To see how the rest of the betting board looks, let’s dive into the OROY odds (via DraftKings Sportsbook).
NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year 2024-25: *
Caleb Williams, Bears: +135 (bet $10 to win $23.50 total)
Jayden Daniels, Commanders: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)Â

* odds as of 7/26/24
At +135, Williams has seen his odds shorten from +155 since the end of May.Â
FOX Sports NFC North Reporter Carmen Vitali wrote about the Bears’ revamped offense.
“Allen, with all his body of work, is WR2 behind D.J. Moore. A top-10 pick is WR3 for the Bears. They have a versatile running back to lead their ground rotation. They have multiple versatile tight ends, an experienced center and one of the best quarterback prospects to come out of the draft in years. Plus, they hired a coordinator with playcalling experience and a track record working with quarterbacks, to make it all go.”
Who are some other movers and shakers?
Nix has recently surged up the board, moving to +1600 from +2800 over the past two months.
On the flip side, McCarthy’s odds are also on the move but not in a favorable direction. His OROY odds have moved to +1600 from +1000 since June. There are also reports that he could end up being QB3 for the Vikings instead of being named their Week 1 starter.
A little further down the list, at +4000, is Bowers, widely viewed as a generational talent at tight end.Â
FOX’s Greg Olsen, a former Pro Bowl tight end, shared with Colin Cowherd on “The Herd” why he’s so high on Bowers.Â
“I think if he would have been able to come out the previous draft, I think you’re talking a top-five, top-seven pick. He might be the best college tight end — production-wise, eye test — that I’ve ever really seen. His size, his ability to run in the open field; I mean, he’s playing SEC football, catching 12-yard dig routes and outrunning secondary defenders from LSU, Alabama. He’s not beating up on small town guys.Â
“He’s really impressive. I think they got a steal with him.”
